  • Clinical evaluations and follow-ups

All services are provided following prior clinical assessment and professional medical judgment.

3. Nature of Aesthetic Medical Services

The Client acknowledges that:

  • Aesthetic procedures are elective medical services;
  • Results vary depending on individual biological response;
  • No specific aesthetic result or outcome can be guaranteed;
  • Medical complications, side effects, or temporary reactions may occur even when procedures are correctly performed.

The clinic undertakes an obligation of professional diligence (obrigação de meios), not an obligation of guaranteed result (obrigação de resultado).

4. Clinical Evaluation and Eligibility

Treatment is subject to prior medical evaluation.
The clinic reserves the right to:

  • Refuse treatment if contraindicated;
  • Postpone procedures for medical safety reasons;
  • Request additional information or medical exams where necessary.

The Client is responsible for providing truthful and complete medical history.

Failure to disclose relevant medical information releases the clinic from liability for resulting complications.

5. Informed Consent

All procedures require:

  • Signed informed medical consent;
  • Signed data protection consent (GDPR);
  • Additional consent for photography, where applicable.

No procedure will be performed without proper documentation.

6. Appointments and Punctuality

Appointments must be scheduled in advance.

Clients are expected to arrive on time.
Late arrival may result in reduced treatment time or cancellation.

7. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

Failure to cancel within this period or failure to attend may result in:

  • Loss of deposit (if applicable);
  • A cancellation fee;
  • Requirement of prepayment for future bookings.

8. Payments

Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed.

Accepted payment methods will be indicated at reception.

Prices are subject to change without prior notice, except for confirmed bookings.

9. Refund Policy

Due to the medical nature of services:

  • Payments for consultations and procedures are non-refundable once performed;
  • Dissatisfaction with aesthetic outcome does not constitute grounds for refund;
  • Corrective treatments may be proposed when clinically appropriate.

Products purchased at the clinic may only be returned if defective and in accordance with Portuguese consumer law.

10. Post-Treatment Responsibility

The Client agrees to:

  • Follow all post-procedure instructions;
  • Attend recommended follow-up appointments;
  • Immediately report adverse reactions.

Failure to comply with medical instructions may compromise results and releases the clinic from related liability.

11. Limitation of Liability

Sooma Aesthetics is liable only for damages directly resulting from proven professional negligence.

The clinic is not responsible for:

  • Individual biological variability;
  • Delayed healing or unpredictable reactions;
  • Complications arising from failure to disclose medical conditions;
  • Treatments performed by third parties.

12. Minors

Services provided to minors require:

  • Written consent from a parent or legal guardian;
  • Guardian presence during consultation unless otherwise legally permitted.

13. Data Protection

All personal data is processed in accordance with:

  • Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR)
  • Portuguese Law 58/2019

Full details are available in the Privacy Policy.
